Make your own sketchbook!

Join us for a fun, 2-part workshop where you’ll learn the art of a unique Coptic stitch bookbinding to create a unique hardcover sketchbook that lays flat when open.

March 11th and 13th from 6:00-8:00pm

note: this class will be divided into two classes and you must be able to attend both.  No experience in bookbinding needed.

Location: Wolf & Wren, 331 Main, Longmont CO

Required materials:

• 2 awls – one Heavy duty and one light duty 
  
• bone folder (available at Wolf & Wren)
  
• foam brush
• curved needle

Required materials from home:

• small glass jar or small container with lid

Materials included in registration: 

• ph neutral PVA glue
• book board
• paper

March 11th part 1: you’ll design and assemble your book covers

March 13th part 2: you’ll sew the pages into place. By the end, you’ll leave with a finished book and the skills to keep crafting your own handmade sketchbook!

Instructor: Stephanie Oliver

Stephanie Oliver is a botanical illustrator as well as Certified Zentangle Instructor. She graduated from the Society of Botanical Artists, UK and School of Botanical Art & Illustration from the Denver Botanic Gardens. Stephanie teaches classes professionally both in person and online at the Denver Botanic Gardens and for private groups. She is from Colorado and lives in Longmont.
