Make your own notebook / sketchbook with a linocut letterpress printed cover

June 28th from 9:30-12:00

Location: Wolf & Wren, 331 Main St, Longmont CO

Needed: Carving tools (available for purchase at Wolf & Wren)

Participants will use the type high linoleum to design and print the covers on a vintage letterpress then assemble and bind the covers into a notebook.

First, Ian will guide the design and carving of the linoleum. Then, Lauren will show the participants how to print the covers on the shop's vintage Pearl letterpress.  Then they will assemble and bind there own notebook or sketchbook.  No sewing or binding needed to build the notebooks using Ian's signature elastic binding method. 

Supplied:  Blick Battleship Grey mounted linoleum 4x6 block, ink, paper for inside pages and cover material

Any carving tools are fine but for a starter you might want to consider the Speedball carving tool that has multiple interchangeable tips.
